What's New
Microlux DL (Power Point Presentation) |
The Microlux DL is to be used in conjunction with a traditional visual and tactile examination. The exam is performed by a dentist or health care provider to increase identification, evaluation, and monitoring of oral mucosal abnormalities found on the soft tissues of the oral environment. After rinsing with the DL solution, irregular cells will take on a whitish hue which will contrast with the surrounding tissues making it more obvious to the examiner. |
 |
The Microlux DL is used to help locate abnormal oral tissue. It is sold as a kit (the Microlux, the DL light guide, batteries plus 6 bottles of acetic acid solution). Part Number is 110035. The light guide and solution can be purchased separately. Once the kit has been purchased, the refill bottles of acetic acid are all that is necessary to perform an exam. Additional 12 or 24 pack sizes of DL rinse available.
According to the Oral Cancer Foundation, "Each year in the United States, approximately 30,000 people are newly diagnosed with oral cancer. When found early, oral cancers have an 80% to 90% cure rate. Unfortunately, at this time, the majority are found as latter stage cancers, accounting for a very high death rate."
A Disposable Plastic Sleeve is now available for the Microlux/DL. The custom sleeve fits tightly over the light guide and encompasses the entire Microlux housing to prevent cross contamination after each patient use. The protective sleeves come packaged in a box of 250. Part Number: 600065

CALSET - Thermal
Assisted Light Polymerization (NEW - 4 Star Dental Advisor Evaluation) |
| A new Dispenser Tray has been developed for
the already popular Calset compule heater. The
new dispenser tray makes it even easier to heat
composite. Simply place the compule into your preferred
dispenser gun and place the gun into the “holster” By
heating composite to 130°F/155°F, it increases
composite flow by 68%, shortens composite curing
time by 80%, and provides greater depth of cure.
The new heated dispenser tray for the Calset fits
most major dispenser guns (see parts list). |
 |
The Calset now comes as a 3 temperature unit,
model #201. The 3 temperatures are as follows
98°F (37°C), 130°F (54°C),and
155°F (68°C),. The reason for the change
in temperatures is to accommodate the newest
trays which will be heated to body temperature.
The temperature of 130°F remains the same
as the previous unit for warming composite. The
new 155°F temperature will give the doctor
additional working time, due to composite cooling,
before and after placement. |
| A new tray for the Calset is now available. The composite syringe tray, the tray holds 7 syringes of composite. This special tray was designed especially for those of you who prefer composite syringes to compule's. You can now have the same advantages of warming composite with our newest tray. Part Number: 600064 |
