Rite•lite – L.E.D. Shade Matching Light Instructions
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Rite•lite L.E.D. Shade Matching Light is a device intended for use by the dental and laboratory professionals as an aid to match the color of dental restorative materials to that of the patient’s tooth enamel.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
Do not allow liquid to enter internal portion of Rite•lite. Do not allow L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diodes) to come in contact with any material or tooth structure. If unit is dropped, return to AdDent for calibration.
OPERATION:
Remove tab from the battery cavity to initiate battery power. To activate unit depress on/off button. With the patient in a seated position, position the Rite•lite 2 – 3” from the patient’s mouth. Place the enclosed neutral card in back of the teeth being selected (this will neutralize outside and oral cavity color interference). An accurate shade determination should take no longer than 5 – 10 seconds. For optimum results, it is recommended that the overhead lights be turned off prior to selecting a shade.
BATTERY:
The Rite•lite accepts 2 standard AA batteries. Battery will maintain complete power for 20 hours.
If the unit will not used for prolonged periods of time, (4 months) it is recommended that the batteries be removed.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
Rite•lite may be wiped down with Cavicide or similar disinfection products. Do not allow any solutions to touch the Light Emitting Diodes. Do not immerse unit in water. Do not autoclave unit.

AdDent, Inc. hereby warranties that for a period of one year from the date of purchase this instrument (excludes battery) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship and will perform satisfactory under normal use.
